Shady Side is a smaller city within the state of Maryland that lies South of the state capital of Annapolis.

Geography

Shady Side lies on a peninsula. On two side Shady Side borders the Chesapeake Bay, and on one side Shady Side borders the West River, which is a small river that flows from the Chesapeake Bay.

Shady Side is flat, with only one hill, which can be found between Centenary United Methodist Church and United-Methodist church. While some believe the hill is there to serve as symbolism for racial segratation, the hill serves the purpose of hiding a sewage tank.

Politics

Shady Side, being a small city, has no real intercity government. The mayor of nearby Annapolis acts as the mayor for Shady Side

Shady Side has proved to be a rather difficult place to do business in.
